A “red” tea — named in China for the color of the steeped brew – the harvested leaves are oxidized and roasted. The leaves are picked in early spring from bushes in the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian Province. Known for its light, fruity flavor, it is a staple in Chinese tea enthusiasts’ pantries.
